Beverwijk

City Information

The city of Beverwijk is well over seven hundred years old. The two best known tourist attractions are the Beverwijk Bazaar, Europes largest Flea Market and the coastal village of Wijk aan Zee, offering sandy wide beaches.

Beverwijk lets you have a look at how the Dutch are normally living. In the recently renovated Breestraat, the towns main street, you will find a great variety of shops, convienial restaurants and cafés, from were you can enjoy a typical weekly market every Wednesday. In the centre you come across the (almost) completely refurbished St. Agatha’s Church which attract many visitors year after year. An annual high point is the festival week in the second week of August, where you can experience the traditional harness racing and the cycle race.
